PerfectCharge MCA charger: Optimum charging technology for your batteries
When it comes to charging starter and supply batteries, special charging technology is required. Starter batteries have to deliver high currents to start the engine, while supply batteries are discharged and recharged over longer periods of time using smaller currents. This puts them under greater strain. The PerfectCharge MCA charger is the perfect choice to ensure that your batteries are optimally charged and have a long service life.
Optimal charging with IUoU battery chargers
The PerfectCharge MCA charger works with a unique six-stage charging cycle. This ensures optimum charging conditions for all gel, fleece and wet batteries. The charger not only charges the batteries quickly, but also gently.
- The charger has been specially developed for 12 V batteries and uses the optimized 6-stage IUoU charging technology.
- Thanks to its compact and lightweight design, it is easy to install and operate.
- The sleep mode enables silent charging at half power, which is ideal if you are charging your vehicle at night or in parking lots with low electrical protection.
- The charger has a bus interface as standard to enable smooth integration into existing bus systems.
- It is compatible with the Dometic MPC 01 battery controller to ensure perfect energy management.
- The charger also offers useful extensions such as a remote control, a battery sensor from Hella and a temperature sensor.
The 6-stage IUoU charging characteristics in detail
The PerfectCharge MCA charger runs through a total of six charging phases to optimally charge your batteries.
1.I phase: At the start of the charging process, the empty battery is charged with a constant current (100 % charging current) until the battery voltage reaches the charging voltage.
2.Uo phase: After the I phase, the three-stage absorption charging phase (Uo phase) begins. During this phase, the voltage remains constant (Uo). The battery's charging capacity is determined in the first 2 minutes. The main charging phase then begins, during which the battery is fully charged. The Uo phase ends when the battery is fully charged or the charging current is below 6 % of the nominal charging current for 15 minutes.
3.U phase: In this phase, the charger switches to trickle mode. Every 12 days, the charger returns to the I phase to revitalize the battery and prevent sulphation.
With the PerfectCharge MCA charger, you can be sure that your batteries are optimally charged and have a long service life. In addition, you can set the required charging voltage for lithium batteries with BMS via DIP switches to ensure optimum charging.
