The Elephant prevents violent, un-authorized intrusion into the camper from the outside. The lock is integrated into the closed door from the inside, in between the lock and the locking plate. This way, opening it is impossible- neither from the outside, nor the inside.

Door Lock Elephant 4: Simply insert it from the inside into the handle recess. This blocks the lock so that it is not possible to open it from the outside. Door Lock fitting for one-piece doors by Knaus and Hobby built since 2015

Door lock Elephant 5 fitting: The vehicle emblem on the middle of the inside door handle is replaced by the door lock. Via tightening the security screw when the door is closed blocks the lock so that opening it from the outside is impossible. Door lock fitting one-piece doors by Knaus built since 2017.
