SOG WC venting roof variant
Odor-free camping toilet experience thanks to SOG
Would you like to use your camping toilet odor-free without the use of sanitary additives? This is possible with the SOG toilet venting roof version!
How does the SOG toilet ventilation system work?
The SOG toilet ventilation system uses a specially developed, small high-performance fan. This switches on automatically as soon as you open the toilet slide. This creates a vacuum in the waste-holding tank.
- The resulting suction at the slider opening draws in fresh air and the odors generated during use and directs them outside. By drawing in the air, the vent acts like a seal and prevents unpleasant foul gases from rising out of the tank. This means that more air (oxygen) is drawn into the cassette every time it is used. In addition, water is added with every flush.
- Even after the fan is switched off automatically (when the slider is closed), the system is permanently ventilated through a connection that is always open to the outside. This continuous supply of oxygen promotes the decomposition process.
Maintenance and filter change
To ensure optimum performance, the replacement and activated charcoal filters of the SOG WC ventilation roof version should be changed once a year. This ensures that odors are maintained.
Connection to the roof version
The roof version of the SOG WC ventilation system allows the waste-holding tank to be connected to a roof duct. The high-performance fan is located directly under the roof duct and ensures sufficient negative pressure in a pipe section of up to three meters. The parts supplied are matched to a waste water pipe system, which is available from specialist camping dealers. The roof vent is maintenance-free as no additional filter is required.
