The battery charging device LAS 1218 BUS is operated as a primary-phase switched power supply unit. Due to this modern circuit technology, a high charging current with compact dimensions and low weight can be realised - no ventilation necessary. Also strengthens charging of systems with electronic block. Temperature-compensated charging. Suitable for SDT BUS. Including temperature control.

LAS 1218-2

Like the LAS 1218 BUS, the battery charging device LAS 1218-2 is operated as a primary-phase switched power supply unit. In comparison to the LAS 1218 BUS, the charging technology is realised without temperature compensation and with two charging characteristics curves.

Features:

  • Charging characteristics curves for lead-acid, acid-gel and AGM batteries (AGM only LAS 1218 BUS)
  • Steady charging current, even if the supply voltage fluctuates
  • Applicable to the device for power provision with no batteries connected
  • Re-charging of the starter battery with a maximum of 3 A
  • Weight reduction compared to a comparable thyristor charging device: approx. 80 %
  • No ripple voltage at the output
  • High efficiency of approx. 90 %
