It detects the swaying movement directly at the axle and reacts immediately by gently braking the trailer.

The ATC permanently monitors the trailer's driving behavior and detects dangerous lateral movements directly at the trailer axle. The system is faster than the ESP installed in the car, as it registers the swaying movement before the car's ESP can react.

If the oscillation of the trailer exceeds the limit values, the ATC automatically intervenes and gently brakes the trailer. This brings the trailer back into a stable driving condition and pulls itself into the lane. This reduces the risk of rear-end collisions caused by sudden and violent braking and does not affect the overtaking process.
