The tried and tested Safari Residence protective tent is the perfect addition to your camping adventure. It consists of 2 individual side walls and a front wall in a neutral color (RAL 9002). The side walls are equipped with window films that are fitted with mosquito nets to keep insects out. You have the option of opening the window films completely and letting fresh air into your tent. The front wall has two entrance doors, one on the right and one on the left (from a length of 3.5 m). You can roll up the doors fully or partially to adjust the entrance area to your needs. The integrated piping rail allows you to easily combine the front wall with other accessories such as a sun blocker.

To ensure that the protective tent is securely attached to your awning, the side walls are attached to the awning fabric with a clamping profile. The front wall and side walls are connected to each other with a double piping profile, which ensures a strong and windproof connection. To achieve a perfect seal between the awning and your vehicle, the height of the pole profile can be adjusted and is fitted with a double rubber lip. The piping of the side wall is inserted into the pole profile and presses it against the vehicle wall. For additional stabilization, a diagonal support is fitted between the clamping profile and the mast profile.

The Thule Residence G3 is available in different heights to adapt to vehicles with different side walls. Depending on the mounting height, you can choose between heights S, M, L, XL, XXL and 3XL. If your 5003, 5200 or 8000 awning is mounted close above the vehicle door and you need a higher front with a lower roof pitch, you can order special side panels in heights M and L as a special order. The side panels are supplied with 2 handy panniers and the front panel is supplied with a trolley skirt for added convenience and easy storage.

Front wall design

Depending on the length of your awning, the design of the front wall varies without compromising on brightness and comfort. The design includes both wide and narrower front sections, which are combined with each other. All front sections, including the large panoramic windows, can be fully rolled up for easy access and ventilation. The narrow front sections serve as an entrance door and offer you a convenient way to get into your tent.
